Creative Economies: Finding Contacts

Over the past week or so, I have been busy to find contacts for my video essay called “Funding Availability and Budget Cuts Issues Affecting the Digital Culture/Creative Industries. However, most of them either turn down or never reply to the email. Until last week, things have changed as one of the contacts willing to conduct a telephone interview instead of Skype interview.

This interviewee is the director of communications in BPI (British Phonographic Industry), he is responsible for directing BPI’s internal and external communications. In other words, managing media relations and creating communications strategies to reflect both the BPI’s core messages and wider cross-industry campaigns. He is the right person that I would like to conduct an interview with since he knows the organisation inside out. For an added bonus, he also provided an up-to-date material in relation to funding and money spent which I could use this material to ensure that my research is correct and relate to the topic.
